Scotland - North East Coast

Our next stop was Dunbeath with views across the harbour to Dunbeath Castle. It dates back to the 1100s but is not open to the public. It is still grey and overcast as you can see and possibly that contributed to the accident that closed the A9 highway just south of here. Amazingly there were absolutely no roads around the accident and it was likely to be closed for many many hours so travellers were advised to find accomodation for the night or sleep in their cars.
